Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood of the upper peninsula of Charleston, SC the 2009 Charleston Home and Design Magazine Idea House is proof that Charlestonians don’t need to travel far to find first-rate finishes and amenities for their custom home.
When asked to present a floor that we felt best represented both a high level of design and sustainability, we started with a “Naturally Distressed” grade of our Appalachian Mountain Cherry and further refined the look with a custom Hand Scrape and French Bleed. The natural character and hand-made texture makes for a timeless combination that can be found throughout the first and second floor. We keep in regular contact with the owners of the Idea House, and they are quick to point out that their floors continue to get deeper and richer color with each passing year.
